63 31... Removing and installing/replacing fibre optic conductor of rear door trim panel, storage compartment

WARNING: Fibre optic conductors are sensitive (risk of damage). Always handle carefully.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR DOOR TRIM PANEL
Work station with cleaner working surface

Fibre optic conductor in storage compartment:

IMPORTANT: Pull storage compartment side fibre optic conductor (1) out of LED module (2). (See next step)
LED_Modul must remain inserted in holder 3. (Risk of damage).

Grasp the end of the fibre optic conductor (1) with finger and unclip in direction of arrow.
Pull fibre optic conductor (1) out of LED module in the direction indicated by arrow

Installation:

Check fibre optic conductor (1) for damage (scratches or cracks), replace if necessary.
