63 31... Removing and installing/replacing fibre optic conductor of front door trim panel (storage compartment)

WARNING: Fibre optic conductors are sensitive (risk of damage). Always handle carefully.

Necessary preliminary work: 

Fibre optic conductor at bottom of storage compartment: 

IMPORTANT: Carefully pull fibre optic conductor (1) out of LED module (2) from storage side.
(See next work step.)
LED must remain plugged into holder (3). (Risk of damage).

  1. Grasp the end of the fibre optic conductor (1) with finger and unclip in direction of arrow.
  2. Carefully pull fibre optic conductor (1) from LED module in direction of arrow.

Installation note: 

Check fibre optic conductor (1) for damage (scratches or cracks), replace if necessary.
