63 17 200 Removing and installing (replacing) left headlight for target illumination

ADJUSTMENT OF HEADLIGHT FOR TARGET ILLUMINATION must be carried out after removal and installation!

IMPORTANT: Follow notes for HANDLING BULBS/LIGHT SOURCES (EXTERIOR LIGHTS)

Necessary preliminary work:

Remove ornamental grille in bumper panel . See 51 11 183 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING ORNAMENTAL GRILLE FOR BUMPER TRIM (SIDE) or 51 11 185 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING ORNAMENTAL GRILLE FOR BUMPER PANEL ON THE SIDE (M AERODYNAMICS PACKAGE)

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 63 12 7AZ .

Remove the headlight for targeted illumination (2) from the holder (3) in direction of arrow.

Unlock associated plug connection and disconnect.

Replacement:

Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
Adjust headlights for targeted illumination . See 63 10 022 ADJUSTING DYNAMIC LIGHT SPOT HEADLIGHTS (WITH HEADLIGHT ADJUSTMENT AID) , 63 10... ADJUST HEADLIGHTS FOR TARGETED ILLUMINATION (DYNAMIC LIGHT SPOT) (WITH HEADLIGHT ADJUSTMENT DEVICE MAHA LITE 3 AS OF SOFTWARE VERSION V 0.78...) or 63 10... ADJUSTING DYNAMIC LIGHT SPOT HEADLIGHT (WITH NON-ELECTRONIC HEADLIGHT ADJUSTMENT DEVICE)
