25 11 111 Replacing Gearshift Rod Joint

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove propeller shaft . See 26 11 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE PROPELLER SHAFT (INSERTED - FLEXIBLE DISC AT REAR) or 26 11 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE PROPELLER SHAFT (CONSTANT-VELOCITY JOINT) .

Lift off retainer (1).

Detach gearshift rod (2).

Installation note:

Grease gearshift rod.

Grease, refer to OPERATING FLUIDS .

IMPORTANT: Retaining clip must interlock captively with retaining web (1) behind gearshift rod pin.

Lever spring circlip (1) out of groove and push a little towards rear.

Press cylindrical pin (2) upwards/downwards out of gearshift rod joint and remove gearshift rod joint.

Installation note:

Grease ball of gearshift shaft.

Grease, refer to OPERATING FLUIDS .

Replace spring circlamp (1).

Check rubber ring (1) in gearshift rod joint (2) and replace if necessary.
