27 21 030 Replacing Radial Shaft Seal For Output To The Front Axle (ATC 350)

IMPORTANT: After completion of work, CHECK TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL .
Use only the approved transmission oil in this transfer box.

Necessary preliminary work:

Remove rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
Remove left holder for underbody protection.
Remove exhaust system holder from transfer box.

Tightening torque: 18 20 2AZ (N63) , 18 20 2AZ (N57) , 18 20 2AZ (N20) or 18 20 2AZ (N55) .

Release screws.

Tightening torque: 26 11 7AZ .

Remove front propeller shaft at output flange of transfer box and tie to one side.

Installation note:

Replace screws.

Lever output flange (1) out of housing with screwdriver (2).

Lever radial shaft seal out of housing with a suitable tool.

IMPORTANT: Do not damage housing.

Drive in radial shaft seal with special tool 27 1 450.
