52 16 050 Replacing lumbar support on front seat (sport, electrical) left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR PANEL on front seat backrest

Detach backrest cover (1) in the marked area.

Detach welt from backrest cover (1).

Press latch mechanism and slide valve body (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation note:

Ensure correct fit of valve body (1) in backrest frame.

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Release clamps (2).

Disengage drive unit (3) and valve body (4).

Detach tabs (1) of lumbar support (2).

Carefully feed out lumbar support (2) in downward direction between spring wire and backrest padding.

Remove lumbar support (2) complete with drive unit and valve body.

Installation note:

Check lumbar support (2) for damage.

Ensure correct fit of tabs (1) on marked spring wires.

Air hoses must not be kinked.
