67 31 X01 Removing and refitting/replacing backrest width adjustment motor

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove driver's or front passenger seat . See 52 14 001 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT SEAT, DRIVER'S SIDE or 52 14 002 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT SEAT, FRONT PASSENGER SIDE
Remove rear panel on front seat . See 52 14 198 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING REAR PANEL ON LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT BACKREST or 52 17 205 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BOTH REAR PANELS ON LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT BACKREST (COMFORT)
Remove SIDE AIRBAG if necessary

Detach seat fabric (1) in marked area.

Fold seat fabric (1) slightly forwards as shown.

Drill out expanding rivet (2).

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Remove backrest width adjustment motor (2).

NOTE:

Carry out FUNCTION CHECK WITH ADAPTER CABLE

Replacement:

INITIALIZE seat height adjustment drive unit.
