22 11 110 Replacing left engine support arm (N57) AWD

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage of thread in engine block. Repair instructions and sequence must be observed  without fail.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

IMPORTANT: Danger of injury through engine tilting during operation of the vehicle hoist after release of the engine support arm.
Secure vehicle hoist against use by switch-off. Fold in vehicle hoist arms if necessary.

Lift the engine at the front axle differential with jack and rubber block, until left engine support arm from engine mount slightly lifts.

IMPORTANT: Engine support arm must be completely relieved.

Disengage vacuum line (2) from holder.

Release screws (1).

Remove engine support arm.

Release bolt (3) and remove additional mass (4).
