24 50 021 Replacing Emergency Release

Releasing the transmission emergency lock from passenger compartment is not required starting from production date 06/2010 .

NOTE: Releasing the transmission lock under the vehicle floor remains possible for towing purposes.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove complete CENTER CONSOLE .
Remove REAR UNDERBODY PROTECTION and holder on left.

Release screw (2).

Remove cable (1).

Installation note:

Adjust GEARSHIFT LEVER .

Release nuts (1) and remove emergency release (2) in upward direction.
