12 21 520 Replacing preheating control unit (N57 D30 O/T 1)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Switch off ignition.
Remove ACOUSTIC COVER at rear.

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque 12 23 2AZ .

Push preheating control unit (2) back from the bracket.

Unlock and disconnect both connectors (3) from preheating control unit.

Thread out preheating control unit and remove.

NOTE: If the preheating control unit is replaced, the preheating control service function must be performed using the diagnosis system after it is replaced.

Installation note:

Assemble engine.
