Pay attention when charging the lithium ion battery!
Risk of damage!
The charging voltage that is generated by existing chargers that are designed for the lead-acid or AGM battery is too high for the lithium ion battery!
This excessive charging voltage will result in damage to the lithium ion battery!
Therefore, the charging voltage of existing chargers must be reduced before charging a lithium ion battery:
- Following a prior charger software update, the charging voltage is automatically adapted to the relevant battery type.
- The charging voltage must be manually adapted to the relevant battery type prior to charging.
