51 13 280 Removing and installing/replacing trim strip on roof frame at left or right

Special tools required:

00 9 321

WARNING: In order to prevent paint damage on the roof, mask off roof in the work area.

Lever out trim strip (1) with special tool 00 9 321 starting at rear.

Unclip trim strip (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation note:

In the roof area, clips (1) and counterpiece (2) in trim strip must not be damaged or missing.

Clips (1) and counterpiece (2) are position coded.

Emergency strategy if T-bolt is broken:

Installation note:

In the windscreen area, clips (1) with retaining clips (2) must not be damaged or missing.

Installation note:

Except F11:

Adjust rear trim strip (1) in such a way that rear windscreen rubber seal (2) rests flush (a) against roof and end of trim strip.

F11 only:

Adjust rear trim strip (1) in such a way that roof and end of trim strip rest flush (a) against each other.
