51 12 050 Removing and installing/replacing support for rear bumper panel

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR BUMPER TRIM

Unclip adapter by pressing on the retaining tab (1) and remove.

Release nut (1) from exhaust bracket on left or left and right.

Tightening torque 51 12 8AZ .

NOTE: (illustration with optional equipment trailer tow hitch)

Feed out all lines on the support (1).

Release nuts (2) from carrier (1).

Tightening torque 51 12 1AZ .

Remove carrier (1).

Installation note:

Replace seals (3) on carrier (1).
