51 32 170 Remove and install/replace side window, front left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Open door window to 140 mm.
Remove INNER WINDOW CAVITY COVER STRIP
Remove SOUND INSULATION FROM FRONT DOOR

Door window glass must be opened to dimension (A).

140 mm

Carefully unlock window glass locating clips (1) in direction of arrow.

Gently press door window glass upwards to snap retaining lug (2) completely out of door window glass bore (3).

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!

Do not bend locating clips (1) too far.

Installation:

Make sure retaining lug (2) is correctly engaged in door window glass bore (3).

Turn side window and lift out towards rear/top.

Installation:

Bores (1) of door window glass (2) must not be damaged.

Door window glass does not need to be adjusted.
