00 00 630 Automatic transmission fluid service - GA8P70H, N55 hybrid
- Do not let skin come in contact with transmission oil and do not inhale fuel vapors.
- Wear protective gloves.
- Ensure adequate ventilation
Recycling:
Collect and dispose of drained automatic transmission fluid in a suitable collecting vessel.
Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.
Failure to comply with this requirement will result in serious damage to the automatic transmission!
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION
Remove right retaining plate (2).
Release screw plug (1) of oil sump and drain automatic transmission fluid.
Installation note:
Renew screw plug (1).
Tightening torque 24 11 2AZ .
Top up transmission oil and carry out oil-level adjustment using the diagnosis system:
An oil-level adjustment is necessary for certain fault code entries in the automatic transmission and after repair (e.g. mechatronic replacement, converter replacement, transmission replacement, automatic transmission oil service).
- Connect diagnosis and information system.
- Open service function (powertrain)
- Carry out engine oil level check according to the instructions in the diagnosis system
Preconditions for oil level adjustment with diagnosis system:
- Initial condition: Transmission oil temperature 30° to 40° C
- Final condition: Transmission oil temperature 40° to 50° C
Adding transmission oil:
Stand vehicle on a level surface and secure against rolling off.
Undo oil filler plug (1).
Top up automatic transmission fluid according to the instructions in the diagnosis system.
Installation note:
Replace sealing ring/oil filler plug
Tightening torque: 24 11 3AZ .
Tighten down oil filler plug using
- Hexagon socket wrench AF 8
- Torque wrench
- Socket AF 8
