33 32 071 Replacing one upper wishbone (M5)

NOTE: If the wishbone is detached from the rear axle support/wheel carrier, it will be necessary to carry out the wheel alignment procedure  . See 32 00 150 KDS CHASSIS/WHEEL ALIGNMENT CHECK WITH VEHICLE LOAD UP TO DESIGN POSITION or 32 00 155 KDS WHEEL ALIGNMENT CHECK WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT VEHICLE LOAD after assembly.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Unscrew guide bolts (1).

Tightening torque 34 21 5AZ .

If necessary, grip at hexagon head (2).

Remove brake calliper (3) and tie back.

Installation note: 

Replace guide bolts.

Remove holders (3) from wishbone.

Release nut (1) and remove screw.

Tightening torque 33 32 8AZ .

Installation note: 

Replace nut (1) and screw.

The holder (3) must be positioned between the lugs (2).

The left and right holders are different.

Replace defective bracket.

Tighten down screw connection in NORMAL POSITION .

Slacken nut (1).

Tightening torque 33 32 9AZ .

Remove wishbone (3) from wheel carrier.

Installation note: 

Replace nut (1).

Keep wishbone to wheel carrier connection clean and free from oil and grease.
