13 62 585 Replacing exhaust backpressure sensor for exhaust turbocharger (N57 D30 O 1)

Only perform this repair work on an engine that has cooled down.

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out the fault memory of the DDE control unit.
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
Unlock connector (1) and remove.
Release clamp (3).
Unclip exhaust back pressure sensor (2) and pull off from pressure hose.
Installation note:
Immediately secure pressure hose back to the hose clamp on the exhaust back pressure sensor.
Installation note:
After replacing the exhaust back pressure sensor, carry out an adaptation using the, Exhaust back pressure sensor upstream of exhaust turbocharger diagnosis system.
Check stored error/fault messages.
Delete fault memory.
