32 41 311 Replacing Suction Line For Power Steering (N57)

WARNING: DANGER OF POISONING if oil is ingested/absorbed through the skin!
RISK OF INJURY if oil comes into contact with eyes and skin!
IMPORTANT: Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to enter the hydraulic system.
Close off line connections with seal plugs.

Recycling: 

Catch and dispose of hydraulic fluid in a suitable collecting vessel.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Release hose clamp (1) and detach suction line from fluid reservoir (2).

Installation note: 

Replace hose clamp.

Make sure intake pipe is laid without tension and with sufficient distance to adjoining components.

Release hose clamp (1) and detach suction line from power steering pump.

Disconnect plug connection on rear side of power steering pump.

Installation note: 

Replace hose clamp.

Make sure hydraulic lines are laid without tension and with sufficient distance to adjoining components.

Align intake pipe by way of marking "P" (2) to power steering pump connection marking.
