32 41 311 Replacing Intake Pipe For Hydraulic Steering (S63)

WARNING: DANGER OF POISONING if oil is ingested/absorbed through the skin!
RISK OF INJURY if oil comes into contact with eyes and skin!
IMPORTANT: Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to enter the hydraulic system.
Close off line connections with seal plugs.

Recycling: 

Catch and dispose of hydraulic fluid in a suitable expansion tank.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Loosen screws (1) and turn oil reservoir to the side!

Unfasten hose clamp (2).

Detach intake pipe from fluid reservoir.

Installation note: 

Replace hose clamp.

Expose intake pipe up to connection on power steering pump.

Release hose clamp (1) from the vehicle underbody and detach intake line from power steering pump.

Remove the intake pipe from the bottom.

Installation note: 

Replace hose clamp.

Make sure hydraulic lines are laid without tension and with sufficient distance to adjoining components.
