63 99 145 Replacing bulb for front left side light/daytime driving lights (LED module) (xenon headlight)

WARNING: Follow instructions for HANDLING LIGHT BULBS (EXTERIOR LIGHTS) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove LEFT HEADLIGHT

Release screws (1).

Lift out LED module (2).

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Remove LED module (2).

If necessary, remove sealant residue from headlight housing.

Installation note:

Ensure LED module (2) is correctly positioned in headlight housing.

If necessary, replace sealant for LED module (2) (see BMW Electronic Parts Catalogue).

Note BULB TYPE .

Replacement

Always replace LED modules (2) as a pair.

For the LED module (2) to function properly, it is obligatory to use an adapter cable (1).

Attach included adapter cable (1) to LED module (2) and connect to headlight using cable.

Ensure adapter cable (1) is positioned properly, do not trap cable.

As far as possible, do not touch sealant (3) on new LED module (2).
