52 14 017 Removing and installing/replacing seat frame for driver's seat

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove DRIVER'S SEAT .
Remove seat fabric.
See procedure for relevant seat type:

- NORMAL/ELECTRIC SEAT (OLDER VERSION)

- NORMAL/ELECTRIC SEAT (NEWER VERSION)

- SPORT SEAT (OLDER VERSION)

- SPORT SEAT (NEWER VERSION)

- COMFORT SEAT (OLDER VERSION)

- COMFORT SEAT (NEWER VERSION)
Remove backrest frame. See BACKREST FRAME (VERSION 1) or BACKREST FRAME (VERSION 2) .

Release all clips.

Installation:

If necessary, replace faulty clips.

Feed wiring harness (1) out of seat frame.

Open rivets (1) on left and right.

Remove securing strips (2) on left and right.

Release screws (3).

Tightening torque 52 10 6AZ .

Remove seat frame from seat rail.

NOTE: The new seat frame part contains all the drives.
