18 40 010 Removing and installing/renewing left exhaust manifold (N63 B40/B44 O 1)

Only perform this repair work on an engine that has cooled down.

Necessary preliminary tasks

Remove left TURBOCHARGER .
Remove right TURBOCHARGER .
Remove ALTERNATOR

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 11 65 6AZ

Remove heat shield (2).

Release nuts 1 to 8.

Remove exhaust manifold, bank 2.

Installation note:

Replace gasket.

Tighten all nuts in sequence (1 to 8).

Tightening torque: 11 62 1AZ

Assemble engine.
