51 34... Adjusting the rear left and right window cavity gap of the door window glass

Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary work:

Remove INNER WINDOW CAVITY COVER STRIP

Cavity dimension, fixed door window glass

Close rear door.

Use special tool 51 0 342 to measure dimension (A) from inside of flange edge (1) to door window glass (2).

Window cavity gap (A):

A = 10 ± 0.8 mm measured in front of door seal in area of C-pillar.

Adjusting cavity dimension, fixed door window glass

Slacken screw (1) and twist adjusting screw (2) to adjust window cavity gap.

Tighten screw (1).

Tightening torque 51 35 6AZ .

Check window cavity gap, repeat operations if necessary.

Cavity dimension, lowerable door window glass

Close door window glass (2).

Close rear door.

Use special tool 51 0 342 to measure dimension (A) between inside of flange edge (3) and door window glass (2).

A = Window cavity gap 9, 5 ± 0.8 mm measured in area of B-pillar trim panel (1).

Adjusting cavity dimension, lowerable door window glass

Use special tool 51 0 400 to slacken nut (2) and adjust window cavity gap at adjustment pin (1).

Tighten nut (2).

Tightening torque 51 35 6AZ .

Check window cavity gap, repeat operations if necessary.
