00 00 614 Service - rear brakes

- Service - rear brakes
- Replace BRAKE PADS
- Replace the brake pad wear sensor
- Clean brake air ducts
- Apply a thin coating of grease to wheel centering on light alloy wheels (grease: Plastilube, BMW Part Number 81 22 9 407 103)IMPORTANT: Do not coat the contact surface of the disc wheel, because this would adversely affect the frictional behavior of wheel contact surfaces!
- BRAKE DISCS
- Check surfaces and thickness.
- If necessary: Replace
- FUNCTION CHECK OF PARKING BRAKE
with roller dynamometer
- If necessary: Charged for separately, removal of brake disc and parking brake repair
- Reset CBS DISPLAY according to factory specification
- Replace BRAKE PADS
NOTE:
- Replace brake discs when:
- Drop below the MINIMUM BRAKE DISC THICKNESS
- Scoring
- Heat cracks
- Thickness difference
- Issue a separate invoice for replacing the brake discs and parking brake shoe
