32 41 090 Removing and installing (replacing) hydraulic pump for Dynamic Drive (N55)
OIL RESERVOIR must be replaced in event of metal abrasion, sluggish pump shaft or increased dirt contamination!
The filter integrated in the oil reservoir can only absorb a limited amount of foreign particles. If the filter clogs, the hydraulic system can no longer be sufficiently protected.
Metal abrasion is perceived in the oil reservoir as metallically glittering hydraulic fluid.
Replacement of the oil reservoir due to a leak (e.g. at the hose connections) is only required with unavoidable high penetrations of dirt.
DANGER OF INJURY if oil comes into contact with eyes and skin!
Seal off hydraulic lines with seal plugs.
Aluminium screws/bolts are permitted with and without color coding (blue).
For reliable identification:
Aluminium screws/bolts are not magnetic.
Jointing torque and angle of rotation must be observed without fail (risk of damage)!
Necessary preliminary work
- Remove stiffening plate (F12)
- REMOVE VANE PUMP BELT PULLEY
- Remove the electrical steering box. See ELECTRIC STEERING BOX or ELECTRICAL STEERING BOX (WITH ACTIVE STEERING) .
Release line clips (1) and (2) from front axle support.
Tightening torque 37 13 7AZ .
Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Release hose clamp (2) and detach intake pipe from vane pump.
Release screws (3) and remove expandable hose from hydraulic pump.
Tightening torque 32 41 13AZ .
Release screws (4). Lay holder with expansion hose to one side.
Tightening torque 32 41 14AZ .
Installation note:
Replace hose clamp (2).
Align suction line by way of "P" marking to connection on hydraulic pump.
Make sure hydraulic lines are laid without tension and with sufficient distance to adjoining components.
Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 32 41 9AZ .
Installation note:
Replace aluminium screws.
Observe screwing sequence!
Release screws (1) and remove hydraulic pump in downward direction.
Tightening torque 32 41 9AZ
Installation note:
Replace aluminium screws.
Observe screwing sequence.
Screw-fastening sequence
- Secure hydraulic pump with screws
- Tighten side screw to 2 Nm
- Tighten front screws to 2 Nm
- Tighten down front screws to jointing torque and angle of rotation
Tightening torque 32 41 9AZ
- Release screw at side and check screw fastening points for gap freedom
- Tighten down side screws to jointing torque and angle of rotation
Tightening torque 32 41 9AZ
After installation
- Check line connections for leaks
- If necessary, carry out Dynamic Drive start-up
