67 31 520 Removing and installing/replacing drive unit for seat height adjustment (model year 2009 through production date 07/2012)

Necessary preliminary work:

Remove driver's or passenger seat. See REMOVING DRIVER'S SEAT or REMOVING FRONT PASSENGER SEAT .

Set down front seat sideways on a suitable surface.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque 67 31 1AZ .

Feed out seat height adjustment drive unit (3) and remove.

Installation note:

Fit seat height adjustment drive unit (1) with plastic clamp (2) only.

Make sure plastic clamp (2) is correctly seated.

NOTE:

Carry out FUNCTION CHECK WITH ADAPTER CABLE .

Replacement:

INITIALIZE seat height adjustment drive unit.
