Removing sill section

Mark severance cut in accordance with dimension and cut.

IMPORTANT: Cut outer panel only.

Dimension a = approx. 60 mm from center point of 20 mm dia. hole.

Open welded connections in areas (1) and (2).

(welded connection (2) = reinforcement of jacking point on inside sill)

Remove rear entrance (3).

Installation note: 

When installing, replace welded connection (2) with BONDED CONNECTION .

Apply repair welding spots in area (1) to existing welding spots on new component/vehicle. This is necessary because the adhesive between the spot flanges acts as an insulator.

Weld in REINFORCEMENT PLATE  at severance cut.

Preparation of new part 

Open welded connections in area (1).

Remove sill section (2).

Mark severance cut (1) in accordance with vehicle and cut.

Do not grind/sand new part in area of bonding surfaces.

Installing sill section 

Apply K5 ADHESIVE  to bonding surfaces (1).

Install new part and reinforcement plate and weld in place.
