New part preparation

Mark severance cuts on new part of B-pillar in accordance with severance cuts on the vehicle and cut.

(1) B-pillar, outer
(2) B-pillar reinforcement
(3) Upper B-pillar reinforcement

NOTE: B-pillar reinforcement (2) does not require reinforcement plate. Lightly sand V-shaped joint edges and weld combined reinforcements together from the outside.

Mark further severance cuts on new parts in accordance with severance cuts on vehicle and cut.

Prepare REINFORCEMENT PLATES at severance cuts.

IMPORTANT: Risk of fire!

Slightly remove adhesive foam of cavity sealing (2) in area (1).

Cool area (1) with compressed air during welding.

IMPORTANT: Structure bonding !
OBSERVE preparation of bonding surfaces (1).

Adjust new parts to fit with alignment bracket or universal mounting.
