41 12 557 Replacing Middle Luggage Compartment Floor Stripping Operations (Tail Panel Removed)

The following list basically represents the removal sequence.

Remove exhaust system (FR number: 1800020)
Remove heat shield
Remove front and rear spare wheel well trim panel (FR-number: 51 47)
Remove battery (FR number: 61 21 010)
Remove air supply system (FR number: 37 22 540)
Remove left and right trailing links (FR number: 51 71 482)
Remove cross reinforcement (FR number: 51 71 480)

Emergency unlocking for electromagnetic parking brake:

Press both detent lugs together and press cable for emergency release (1) downwards.

Release screws and remove supports (1).

Release positive battery leads (2) and lay to one side.
