52 25 042 Removing and installing/replacing cover for backrest angle adjustment on left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks 

View of seat underside: 

Press release (1) with suitable aid and pull off cover.

Unclip trim (2) from operating unit.

Installation: 

Ensure trim is correctly seated in marked area (3).

Carefully turn trim (1) in downward direction until fastening point of operating unit is uncovered.

Release screw (2).

Turn operating unit (1) in downward direction.

Press release (1) with suitable aid and pull off cover.

Installation: 

Cover and cover mount must not be damaged.

If necessary, replace faulty parts.

Press release (1) with suitable aid and pull off cover.

Unclip trim (2) from operating unit.

Installation: 

Ensure trim is correctly seated in marked area (3).

Carefully turn trim (1) in downward direction until fastening point of operating unit is uncovered.

Release screw (2).

Turn operating unit (1) in downward direction.

Installation: 

Cover and cover mount must not be damaged.
