52 14 050 Replacing lumbar cushion on front left or right seat

Necessary preliminary tasks 

Remove valve housing in direction of arrow from backrest frame.

Installation: 

Check that valve housing is correctly seated.

Unlock quick connectors and detach air hoses (1).

Valve unit for lumbar support: 

  1. Hose (blue/red), lumbar cushion

Installation: 

Connections are coded against incorrect installation.

Disengage backrest cover at bottom and side left or right from backrest frame.

Detach lumbar cushion (1) from spring wire.

Installation:

Hook lumbar support cushion (1) over second and fourth wires.

Remove lumbar cushion (1) sideways between backrest frame and padding.

Installation: 

Check lumbar cushion at top (1) and bottom (2) for damage.

Air hoses (3) must be laid without kinks.

NOTE: Carry out FUNCTION TEST.
