52 14 018 Removing and installing/replacing seat frame for front passenger seat

Necessary preliminary work

Remove FRONT PASSENGER SEAT .
Remove seat cover . See 52 14 403 REPLACING SEAT COVER FOR FRONT PASSENGER SEAT (NORMAL/ELECTRICAL) (UP TO 09/09) , 52 16 403 REPLACING SEAT COVER FOR FRONT PASSENGER SEAT (SPORTS, 09/09 ON) or 52 17 403 REPLACING SEAT COVER FOR PASSENGER SEAT (COMFORT) (FROM 09/09) .
Remove backrest frame . See 52 17 032 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BACKREST FRAME FOR DRIVER'S SEAT or 52 14 031 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BACKREST FRAME FOR LEFT OR RIGHT DRIVER'S SEAT on front seat.

Release all clips.

Installation note:

If necessary, replace faulty clips.

Feed wiring harness (1) out of seat frame.

Open rivets (1) on left and right.

Remove securing strips (2) on left and right.

Release screws (3).

Tightening torque 52 10 6AZ.

Remove seat frame from seat rail.

NOTE: The new seat frame part contains all the drives.

Remove backrest frame . See 52 17 032 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BACKREST FRAME FOR DRIVER'S SEAT or 52 14 031 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BACKREST FRAME FOR LEFT OR RIGHT DRIVER'S SEAT on front seat.

Release all clips.

Installation note:

If necessary, replace faulty clips.

Feed wiring harness (1) out of seat frame.
