51 13 400 Removing and installing or replacing rear center trim

Necessary preliminary work 

NOTE: Detaching rear center trim is shown on the left side; proceed in same way for detaching on the right side.

Remove stop pad (4) on tailgate (3).

Release nut (1) on rear center trim (2).

Tightening torque 51 13 1AZ .

Release screws (1) on rear trim panel (2).

Unclip plastic clips (1) with tailgate opened.

Remove complete rear trim.

Installation note: 

If necessary, replace faulty plastic clips (1).

If necessary, replace faulty gasket (3).

If necessary, replace faulty screw clamp (2).
