51 43 150 Removing and installing or replacing trim for left or right door pillar (bottom)

When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.

Necessary preliminary work 

NOTE: Shown removed here for purposes of clarity.

Remove edge protection in area of trim panel (3).

Unclip clips (1) from trim panel (3) in upward direction.

Unclamp clamps (2) towards inside.

If necessary disconnect plug connections located behind them.

Installation note: 

Clips (1) and (2) must not be damaged.

Installation note for trim panel with air duct: 

Air duct (1) must be correctly engaged in associated air duct (2).

Guide lug (3) must be correctly inserted in associated guide in floor pan.

All plastic clips (4) must be undamaged.

Replacement 

Reposition clips (1) and (2) on door post trim panel (3).
