Ideal setting, preload

NOTE: Pre-tension can be checked with or without weather strip. Pre-tension is 1.0 mm less with weather strip.

Insert the special tool 51 0 341 in the rotary striker of the door lock and close the rotary striker manually.

Close the door carefully up to the point where the special tool 51 0 341 magnetically adheres to the striker (= defined door opening angle for measurement).

No force must be exerted on the door or door window glass during measurement.

NOTE: The special tool 51 0 342 must contact the sheet metal flange

Slide special tool 51 0 342 at distance (B) of door window glass lateral edge into seal (1). Measure dimension (A) to door window glass (2).

Dimension (A) with weather strip:

A = 51 ±1 mm

Dimension (A) without weather strip:

A = 52 ±1 mm

B = 30 mm
