33 34 070 Removing and installing/renewing integral active steering

Necessary preliminary tasks 

IMPORTANT: Screws (1) must not be released during removal!

Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1) from steering.

Release screw (2) and remove grounding cable. Tightening torque 33 34 4AZ .

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque 33 34 2AZ .

Undo collar bolts (2).

Tightening torque 33 34 1AZ .

Installation note: 

Observe assembly sequence at end of document to prevent integral active steering from jamming during installation.

Release bolts (1) and remove Integral Active Steering towards bottom.

Tightening torque 33 34 3AZ .

Installation note: 

Observe assembly sequence at end of document to prevent integral active steering from jamming during installation.

IMPORTANT: Observe assembly sequence.

Fasten screws and nuts on the Integral Active Steering at the rear axle support, see Fig 5.

After installation
