11 23 010 Removing and installing/replacing vibration damper (N20)

Special tools required: 

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

NOTE: Engine removed:

Block crankshaft with special tool 11 9 260 .

NOTE: Engine installed with manual transmission:

Block crankshaft with special tool 11 8 180 .

NOTE: Engine installed with automatic transmission:

Block crankshaft with special tool 22 2 742.

Feed in special tool, slide screw forward and tighten.

Release screws (1).

Remove vibration damper.

Tightening torque 11 23 1AZ .

Assemble engine.
