11 22 510 Removing and installing/replacing flywheel (transmission removed - N63O1)

Special tools required:

11 9 260 .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove transmission. See MANUAL TRANSMISSION or AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION . For AWD vehicles, see applicable removal procedure for AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION .
Remove CLUTCH .

Manual transmission:

Secure flywheel (1) with special tool 11 9 260 .

Graphic shows S63T0.

Automatic transmission:

Release flywheel screws in area (1).

Remove flywheel (2).

Installation note:

Clean thread of flywheel bolts in crankshaft.

Flywheel (2) is secured with an alignment pin.

Fit flywheel (2).

Fit new flywheel screws .

Tightening torque 11 22 1AZ .

Manual transmission:

Release flywheel screws in area (1).

Remove flywheel (2).

Installation note:

Clean thread of flywheel bolts in crankshaft.

Flywheel (2) is secured with an alignment pin.

Fit flywheel (2).

Fit new flywheel screws .

Tightening torque 11 22 1AZ .

Reassemble the vehicle.
