Parking lock emergency release
If the parking lock can no longer be released hydraulically, a mechanical emergency release is possible on certain model years and series. This allows the vehicle to be pushed or pulled in case of emergency.
The vehicle must not be driven with the electronic emergency release enabled - it may only be maneuvered. In the case of misuse, a corresponding fault is entered in the fault memory.
WARNING:
Do not tow away vehicle.
Only transport the vehicle on a loading platform. Otherwise damage may occur. Follow the instructions in the operating instructions!
WARNING:
Engage parking lock again after stopping vehicle!
The parking lock must be engaged again after towing away the vehicle. If the parking lock is not engaged, there is a risk that the vehicle may roll away.
