Transmission oil pump
The oil supply has the following tasks:
- Lubrication
- Controlling the shift elements
- Cooling
The mechanical oil pump is drive by a roller gear chain from the transmission input shaft. When the separation clutch is open, the drive occurs through the electrical machine, with closed separation clutch through the combination of combustion engine and electrical machine.
The electric transmission oil pump ensures a transmission oil pressure supply in operating ranges with insufficient speed at the transmission input shaft.
The electric gearbox oil pump is a vane-type pump in the same way as the mechanical oil pump. It is driven by a brush less direct current motor. The control electronics is integrated in the housing of the electric transmission oil pump and is activated by the electronic transmission control (EGS). The electric gearbox oil pump can be operated as of a gearbox oil temperature of 0 ° C. In the automatic transmission GA8P70HZ the electric transmission oil pump will use the installation space of the hydraulic impulse storage that is known from F04.
