Operation/activation of the high-beam assistant

- Turn light switch to switch position "A" or switch position "2".
- Press button for activating the high-beam assistant on the turn signal/high beam switch (high-beam assistant is activated).
- In switch position "2", activation is possible regardless of the ambient brightness
- In switch position "A", activation is only possible if the rain/light sensor has turned on the low-beam headlights.
- The high beam assist indicator lamp lights up and indicates that the FLA is activated.
- When dark, the high-beam headlights are turned on if the switch-on conditions for the high-beam assistant are fulfilled.
- The switch-on conditions are:
- Driving speed
The high-beam headlights are switched on or switched off if a predefined driving speed is exceeded or dropped below. The specification is in line with the stipulated local regulations. Example: High-beam headlights are switched on at a driving speed in excess of 40 km/and switched off at a speed of less than 30 km/h.
- Reverse gear is not engaged (forwards travel).
- Image sensor does not detect an oncoming vehicle or a vehicle ahead.
- Image sensor does not detect a surrounding area with sufficient brightness.
