11 36 655 Removing and installing/replacing both actuators (N20)

IMPORTANT: It is essential to observe conditions of absolute cleanliness when removing and installing the intake and exhaust actuators.
Possible malfunction if there is dirt contamination in the valves:
  • Irregular operation
  • OBD fault entry
  • Exhaust gas emission characteristics.
  • Low engine performance

Necessary preliminary work: 

Detach lines (1) from retaining tabs (2).

Disconnect plug connection (5) on intake actuator (6).

Release screws (4).

Tightening torque 11 36 2AZ .

Remove intake actuator (1) to the front.

Disconnect plug connection (2) on exhaust actuator (3).

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 11 36 2AZ .

Remove exhaust actuator (3) to the front.

Assemble engine.

Check function of DME.
