41 62 014 Adjusting Tailgate

The 41 00... BODY GAP DIMENSIONS serve as the basis for adjusting procedure.

Make unpainted surfaces visible by also moving the hinges. Touch these up in the appropriate color.

Slacken screws (1) and (2) on tailgate hinge to tailgate until the tailgate can still just be moved.

Adjust tailgate.

Re-tighten all screws.

Tightening torque: 41 62 1AZ .

Adjusting height of tailgate in relation to side panel:

Slacken screws (1) on tailgate hinge to side panel until the tailgate can still just be moved.

Adjust tailgate.

Re-tighten all screws.

Tightening torque: 41 62 2AZ .
