61 31 174 Removing and installing operating facility for additional seat functions
Special tools required:
Use special tool 64 1 020 to unlock the latch mechanism (1) on the operating facility (2). Use special tool 00 9 317 to simultaneously and carefully lever out the operating facility (2).
Disconnect plug connection behind and remove operating facility (2).
Installation note:
Make sure the additional seat function operating facility (2) is positioned correctly.
Right-hand drive vehicles only:
The operating facility in the rear passenger compartment is always supplied with the ID for left-hand drive vehicles.
It is therefore necessary after replacement to run the service module for configuration of the memory switch in the rear passenger compartment to re-assign the ID to right-hand drive vehicles.
