Fault description

Diagnosis monitors the adaptation values of the intake camshaft 2.

The fault is detected when the adaptation value shifts by more than 17° crankshaft angle, corresponding to one tooth.

Possible fault cause:

• Incorrect timing
• VANOS defective
• Adaptation values taught-in incorrectly
