Fault description

Diagnosis monitors the presence of signals from the exhaust camshaft sensor.

The fault is detected when no signals are received from the exhaust camshaft sensor although other signals indicate that the engine is running.

Possible fault cause:

• Wiring harness defective
• Exhaust camshaft sensor defective
• Air gap too large
