Fault description

Diagnosis monitors the duration of the working cycles and compares them with the other cylinders by evaluating the engine speed signals.

The fault is detected when the crankshaft during the working cycle of the respective cylinder is retarded compared to the other cylinders.

Possible fault cause:

• Mixture preparation defective
• Ignition system defective
• Mechanical system defective
• DME defective
