Secondary faults: If additional diagnostic fault codes related to malfunctions in the following components have been logged, process these problems first:

• Mixture control.
• VANOS.
• Tank ventilation system.
• Ignition.
• Injectors.
• Crankshaft sensor.
• Camshaft sensor.
• Electromotive throttle controller.
• Hot film air mass meter.
• Check exhaust system of oxygen sensor after catalytic converter for tightness.

Check wiring harness between DME and oxygen sensor before catalytic converter.

Check wiring harness between DME and oxygen sensor after catalytic converter.

Replace oxygen sensor before catalytic converter.

Renew oxygen sensor after catalytic converter.
