51 16... Removing and installing/replacing cup holder decorative trim

When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.

Removal procedure:

Protect decorative trim (1) against scratches.

Open protective cap (2) of cup holder halfway.

Unclip decorative trim (1) on handle strip (3) away from protective cap (2) and remove.

Installation procedure:

NOTE: Shown removed here for purposes of clarity.

Close protective cap (1).

Position decorative trim (2) slightly offset towards rear and slide forward to clip on.

Installation:

Mounting hooks, clip tabs and pins (see arrow in illustration) on protective cap (1) and decorative trim (2) must not be damaged.

Replacement

Protect new decorative trim against scratches.
