11 12 501 Replacing cylinder head gasket (N47D20 K/U/O/T 1)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

The cylinder head gasket is designed as a beaded metal gasket.

Pay attention to gasket thickness (1).

Highest piston protrusion at measuring points (1 and 2) of all 4 pistons determines thickness of cylinder head gasket.

Piston protrusion up to 0.92 mm

Piston protrusion >0.92.. 1.03 mm

Piston protrusion greater than >1.03.. 1.18 mm

Install 3 hole cylinder head gasket.

Assemble engine.
